Tech. Sgt. Ashlynn Bathey was named Noncommissioned Officer of the Year by the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing, which is based at Truax Field on Madison’s North Side.
A panel of five chief master sergeants reviewed dozens of nomination packets and selected Bathey based on job accomplishments, self-improvement, community service and physical fitness.
The 28-year-old Kingston, Illinois, native works in the base security detail, which searches vehicles coming through the facility’s main gate, responds to alarms that sound in a control and dispatch center, and guards aircraft.
